Abrasive Waterjets
The aim of this Web page is to provide information on abrasive waterjet generating methods and the cutting heads associated with these methods.
Section 1. Provides an introduction to cutting head and a comment on the reliability of information on cutting head fluid dynamics.
Section 2. Describes five methods of generating abrasive waterjets.
Each method of abrasive waterjet generation requires a different cutting head design. Acronyms for cutting heads, cutting head application and carrier fluids are:

Section 4. IAWJ - Improved form of AWJ for general machining – abrasive carrier fluid air.
Section 5. SAW - New cutting head for general machining – abrasive carrier fluid steam.
Section 6. FAW - New cutting head for fine machining – abrasive carrier fluid water
Section 7. MAW - New cutting system for micro machining – suspension of abrasive in water.
